Miércoles 18, recordamos el nacimiento de la soprano argentina Nilda Hofmann, mozartiana. Su primera profesora de canto fue Editha Fleischer. Fue dirigida, entre otros, por Erich Kleiber, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Tullio Serafín y Karl Böhm. Al morir María Eva Duarte de Perón, Nilda Hofmann cantó en la Misa de Requiem de Mozart dedicada a su memoria.

[Nilda Ana Hofmann Wittrup was born in Roldán, Provincia de Santa Fé,
República Argentina, on May 18, 1926.
Music was part of her life from an early age with her mother a pianist.
One month before her 18th birthday she was accepted in the rigorous
singing school of Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
Her first singing teacher was Editha Fleischer and her first time on
stage was in 1945 in Tzare Saltane while still a student.
She later worked with some of the greatest directors, including Erich Kleiber, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Tullio Serafín and Karl Böhm.
She mastered the best composers with her favourite being Mozart.In 1952, Eva Duarte de Perón, wife of argentine President Juan Peron died,  Nilda Hofmann was part of the Requiem by Mozart dedicated to Argentina’s influential First Lady, known to many as Evita.]
